Nursery Practitoner

Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on young lives? Look no further! Abbotsford Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 6:00pm, All Year Round

Salary: Based on experience

Start Date: Immediate start available

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners. You will work closely with children aged 6 months – 4 years old, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities, interactive play, and thoughtful guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's development and share insights with parents and caregivers.
  • Support children's personal care routines, ensuring their well-being and comfort at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent.
  • Passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of their developmental needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles and personalities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child safety.
